Lake Guide

2024 Greater Madison Lake Guide, featuring the 2023 State of the Lakes

In the ninth issue of the Greater Madison Lake Guide, you’ll find unique stories involving people, places, and projects in our watershed. There is information about the people who work on and around our lakes, names behind Greater Madison’s lakes, volunteers who are making an impact around our lakes, and more!

Plus, we’ve released our 2023 State of the Lakes inside the Greater Madison Lake Guide. The 2023 State of the Lakes tracks and reports on the overall condition of Greater Madison’s five lakes – Mendota, Monona, Wingra, Waubesa, and Kegonsa. It looks at projects and practices on and around our lakes and provides progress snapshots on phosphorus-reducing actions occurring across a 384-square-mile watershed.
