Giving Tuesday

Imagine a future in which our lakes and streams are healthier than ever. At Clean Lakes Alliance, we’re working to make that a reality with our many water quality improvement initiatives—projects focused on land and water to create a lasting impact in the Yahara Watershed.

This year, on Giving Tuesday, December 3rd, we have set an ambitious goal of raising $25,000 to support our Seed the Need program. Protecting water quality starts on land. Seed the Need focuses on improving watershed health through projects like native plantings and prairie restorations – restoring the land’s natural sponges and water filters that benefit our lakes.

What is Giving Tuesday?

After Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday was established as a global day of giving in 2012 to encourage people and organizations to donate their time and money to charitable causes.

The funds raised through this campaign will directly support Clean Lakes Alliance’s work that focuses on watershed health improvement efforts to protect areas that impact water quality. We will restore lands to improve our lakes for future generations and, through programs like Volunteer Days, we will preserve the progress made on the land through maintenance and restoration work.
