Lake Guide

2021 Greater Madison Lake Guide, featuring the State of the Lakes Report

In the sixth issue of the Greater Madison Lake Guide, you’ll find unique stories involving people, places, and projects in our watershed. There is information on what you can do to protect our lakes, resources on businesses, activities, and events associated with our lakes, and tips to help you plan your next visit.

Plus, we’ve released our 2020 State of the Lakes Report inside the Greater Madison Lake Guide. The 2020 State of the Lakes Report tracks and reports on the overall condition of Greater Madison’s five lakes – Mendota, Monona, Wingra, Waubesa, and Kegonsa. It looks at projects and practices on and around our lakes and provides progress snapshots on phosphorus-reducing actions occurring across a 384-square-mile watershed.
