Effigy Mound stop on the Lake Loop
We heard from many people they enjoyed the Effigy Mounds at Hudson Park. People saw the Bear, Lynx, and Water Spirit — or Hųųc, Wicąwą Kereš, and Waakcexi as they are known in Ho-Chunk. Special thanks to our guides for conducting tours. And our gratitude to Abbott (Exact Sciences), SASY Neighborhood Association, and TruStage for supporting our Teejop Initiative.

Thank you to our partners!
Loop the Lake, presented by Lake Ridge Bank, is an annual event. It aims to promote the protection and preservation of Madison lakes. The event is produced in partnership with The East Side Club, Discover Monona, Madison LakeWay, and San Damiano, and in conjunction with the City of Madison and the City of Monona. All proceeds support Clean Lakes Alliance, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving and protecting the lakes, rivers, and wetlands in the Yahara Watershed.
We’re also grateful to the following organizations for making this event special in their own unique ways: barre3 Madison, City of Monona Tourism Commission, Curbside Bicycles, Madison BCycle, Madison Water Utility, Monona EMS, and Monona Police Department.
