Community Volunteer Day – October 2026
October 2 @ 9:00 am – 11:30 am
Join Clean Lakes Alliance and Madison Parks for a native planting volunteer event at Brittingham Park. Planting native plants is a simple and effective way to help protect our lakes. Their deep root systems absorb rainwater, reduce runoff, and help prevent soil, phosphorus, and other pollutants from washing into nearby waterways. Native plants provide valuable habitat for wildlife and pollinators, all while beautifying our communities.

Tools and guidance will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes for outside work, and bring a water bottle and sun protection. You’re welcome to bring your own garden gloves. Gloves will also be provided. Closed-toed shoes and pants are required to best protect you from bugs, ticks, and scratches. Meet near Brittingham Boats near the beach.
