Join Clean Lakes Alliance for FREE ice skating, s’mores, networking, sleigh rides, and more!​

Get ready for a full slate of activities on ice and on land at the 2020 Frozen Assets Festival! Clean Lakes Alliance’s sixth annual winter festival is expanding to a full week of fun at The Edgewater in Madison, Wisconsin from Sunday, February 2nd through Saturday, February 8th.  

We’ll host special evening events throughout the week, plus a full day of FREE family-friendly activities on Saturday, February 8th. For the fourth year, we’ll be holding “Kites on Mendota,” a display of large, colorful kites flying high over Madison. And new this year, watch skydivers land on the frozen lake throughout the day!

Let’s celebrate our lakes together at this fun community tradition!

FREE festival events on Saturday, February 8th

  • Grab a cup of hot chocolate and make s’mores
  • Learn about lake science with UW Center for Limnology
  • See large, colorful kites fly at “Kites on Mendota”
  • Watch USA Olympic gold medalist speed skater
  • Visit Funny Faces Family Entertainment for face painting
  • View skydiving demonstrations throughout the day
  • Skate at The Edgewater ice rink with $3 skate rentals
  • Watch figure skating, ballet, and Irish dance performances
  • Learn a new winter sport – pond hockey, curling, or snowshoeing
  • Try the Madison Capitols slap shot game

2020 Frozen Assets 5K: a race to support our lakes

Grab your boots, running shoes, or whatever keeps your feet warm and go the extra mile for our lakes! Join us on Saturday, February 8th for the 2020 Frozen Assets 5K Run/Walk. Your registration directly supports Clean Lakes Alliance’s lake improvement projects, water quality monitoring, and educational programs.

2020 Frozen Assets evening fundraiser sold out!

Thank you to everyone who bought tickets to attend this year’s Frozen Assets Fundraiser – The Edge of Tomorrow. This is the ninth year in a row you have made this a sold out event! Funds raised on Saturday, February 1st and throughout the week will go toward important lake improvement projects, water quality monitoring, and educational programming. THANK YOU!
