SUMMARY:Earth Week Volunteer Day - April 2026
DESCRIPTION:Join Clean Lakes Alliance and the City of Madison Parks Division for an invasive species removal event at Cherokee Marsh South Unit. Removing invasive plants better protects our shores from erosion and soil loss and allows the growth of beneficial vegetation that absorbs and filters water before it reaches the lakes. We will meet at the corner of School Road and Wheeler Road. All tools will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes for outside work\, and bring a water bottle and sun protection. Closed-toed shoes and pants are required to best protect from bugs\, poisonous plants\, and scratches.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER
